National Art Competition

Unity Through Art: Celebrating National Recognition

The 2026 Poster Art Competition theme, “Unity Through Art,” invites youth, community partners, and Links chapters across the nation to explore how the arts serve as a powerful catalyst for unity and understanding. Throughout history, art has strengthened communities and bridged political, social, and economic divides by creating shared spaces for dialogue, empathy, and reflection.

Chapters across the nation submitted students’ artwork in designated grade-level categories, giving communities the opportunity to vote and celebrate the creativity and artistic expression of young people nationwide.

This year, the Bakersfield (CA) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated, proudly celebrates Brenda Morales, an Emerson Middle School student and participant in

the Bakersfield Links Leadership STEAM Academy, for earning First Place at the National Level in Category II (Grades 4–6), receiving a $750 award!

Brenda’s achievement reflects the power of creativity, the importance of youth empowerment, and the impact of providing young people with opportunities to express themselves through the arts. The Bakersfield (CA) Chapter is proud to celebrate Brenda’s outstanding accomplishment and the recognition she has brought to our community.
